What do I need to start lessons?

  What do I need before starting or booking lessons?

 

You have to be 17 years of age and hold a provisional licence to drive a car or ride a motorcycle,unless you are in full receipt of full disability allowance,then you can obtain a provisional licence at the age of 16 years of age.You must be in possession of a provisional licence before you will be able to drive on a public road. 

 

Where or how do I apply for a provisional driving licence? 

 

You need to complete a DL1 form,which are available from most Post Offices,Local Vehicle Licensing offices,or from DVLNI by calling 0845 402 4000 and returning it to

Can I start  Driving Lessons before passing my Theory Test?

 

Yes you can,and probably should,as the driving experience will help you understand the questions and answers contained in the Theory Test.Likewise what you study for the Theory Test will also be very helpful in your driving lessons.

 

Only Pupils wanting to take a intense course must have the Theory Test passed !!
